Basketball Recap: London Liley and Kennedy Austin Secure Win for Maret

Maret's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took down the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions 55-40. The win continues a trend for the Frogs in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Maret was led to victory by Kennedy Austin and London Liley. Austin dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards, while Liley went 11-for-16 en route to 23 points and three steals. The matchup was Liley's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Annie Ketcham, who posted six points and five rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why St. Andrew's Episcopal lost, don't look at Anna Beth Tsai-Turton. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Grant, who put up ten points.

Maret's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
