Basketball Game Preview: St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws vs. Port Gibson Blue Waves

The St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws will take on the Port Gibson Blue Waves at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Stanislaus knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Port Gibson likes a good challenge.

St. Stanislaus saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Fontainebleau with a sharp 71-51 win. The Rock-a-Chaws have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port Gibson). They came out on top against Natchez by a score of 76-65 on Friday.

St. Stanislaus' victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Port Gibson, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

St. Stanislaus came up short against Port Gibson in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 48-43. Can the Rock-a-Chaws avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
