Softball Recap: Georgetown's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak at Home

Georgetown made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Avoyelles, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Georgetown Bulldogs blew past the Avoyelles Mustangs 16-1 on Saturday. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 21-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Georgetown's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Avoyelles, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Georgetown will square off against Marksville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Avoyelles, they will venture away from home to take on Tioga at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
