Game recap: Washington High School Football Team defeats Edison

MIAMI, Fla. - Washington (Miami, Fla.) extended its winning streak to 10 games with a 62-0 victory over Edison (Miami, Fla.) on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a Jaime Taylor touchdown pass to Terron Hopkins in the first quarter, the Tornadoes were up 40-0 at the half.

Washington grew its lead to 55 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown.

Washington's most effective player was Borregales. He kicked eight extra points.

Washington went into the matchup giving up only 8.0 points per game.



Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 53-0 win for WHS.

In their next matchup the Red Raiders (1-8) will take on North Miami in a non-conference game. The Pioneers will bring a record of 8-1 into the meeting.
