Basketball Game Preview: Santa Fe Christian Eagles vs. Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns + Official Tickets

The Santa Fe Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Fe Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Rancho Buena Vista likes a good challenge.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Santa Fe Christian took on Torrey Pines on Saturday. The Eagles took down the Falcons 59-42. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Falcons are ranked 290th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rancho Buena Vista). They skirted past Mira Mesa 72-69. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Longhorns have posted since January 31st.

Rancho Buena Vista's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Santa Fe Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.

Santa Fe Christian strolled past Rancho Buena Vista in their previous meeting back in December of 2021 by a score of 74-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
