Basketball Recap: Oldham County Comes Up Short

If Oldham County was riding high fresh off their 58-37 takedown of Anderson County on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Oldham County Colonels took an 85-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Henry Clay Blue Devils on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Colonels still had to take the loss.

Oldham County's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Henry Clay, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Oldham County and Henry Clay could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. Oldham County (ranked 125th) will meet Butler (ranked 21st) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Henry Clay will take on Frederick Douglass at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 32 places (34 vs. 2).
