Basketball Game Preview: Ben Lomond Scots vs. Providence Hall Patriots

Ben Lomond is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Juan Diego Catholic on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Scots took a blow against the Soaring Eagle, falling 69-41. The Scots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-18.

Cole Parkinson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 21 points. That was a full 51.2% of Ben Lomond's points, marking the fourth time in a row Parkinson has scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Taggart Bush, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, Providence Hall lost to Cedar at home by a 69-50 margin on Thursday.

Ben Lomond will have to contain Dallas Loutensock as he made an impact in Providence Hall's last game. He put up 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryker Jones, who earned 11 points.

Ben Lomond's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Providence Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Everything came up roses for Ben Lomond against Providence Hall in their previous meeting back in February, as the squad secured a 64-34 win. Will the Scots repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
