Baseball Recap: Lowell's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Lowell finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Coopersville Broncos, falling 7-1. The loss was the Red Arrows' first of the season.

Caden Witten was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Lowell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Sitzer, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Owen Dennings also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lowell fell to 3-1. As for Coopersville, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

While Lowell had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
