Soccer Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Takes a Loss

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 5-1 to the McAllen Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Javelinas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 635th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 217th).

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for McAllen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will head out on the road to square off against Sharyland at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Sharyland will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest surely won't give up without a fight. As for McAllen, they will challenge Pioneer at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Pioneer's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so McAllen's offense will have their work cut out for them.
