Basketball Recap: Ashton-Franklin Center Takes a Loss

Ashton-Franklin Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 50-14 loss at the hands of the Amboy Clippers. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while the Clippers are ranked 258th).

Ashton-Franklin Center's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Amboy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Ashton-Franklin Center will square off against Polo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Amboy has already played their next contest (against Stockton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
