Basketball Recap: Dayton Takes a Loss

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Dayton was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They were dealt a 71-17 loss at the hands of the Garfield-Palouse Vikings. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dayton now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Garfield-Palouse, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dayton will square off against Pomeroy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Garfield-Palouse, they will venture away from home to challenge Liberty Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Liberty Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
