Softball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

The Meridian Wildcats lost 13-3 to the Biloxi Indians on Friday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meridian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Biloxi, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Meridian has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Biloxi, they will face off against Lafayette at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Biloxi has won four straight at home, while Lafayette won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
