Softball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia and Baker County squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Columbia had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Columbia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kimber Long, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Baker County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-4.

As of now, neither Columbia nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
