Volleyball Recap: Bishop Miege Takes a Loss

Bishop Miege was the 2-0 winner over Rock Creek when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Stags fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Stags have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Liv Stevens paced Bishop Miege's offense, picking up 18 kills. Stevens got some help from Maryn Dean and her 23 assists. Nina Andrade controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Rock Creek was led to victory by Lucy Martinie and Kylee Frazee. Martinie had 14 digs and three assists, while Frazee hit 52.6% for 11 kills and 21 digs. Those 21 digs gave Frazee a new career-high.

Bishop Miege's loss dropped their record down to 9-28. As for Rock Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 22 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-7 record this season.

Bishop Miege has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Paola on the 31st. As for Rock Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Andale on the 31st.
