Softball Recap: Elverado Has No Trouble Against Dongola

Elverado won the last time they faced Dongola and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 15-0 win. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by nine runs or more this season.

Jaylen Marshall was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mylee Roberts, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Elverado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Elverado's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Dongola, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elverado will host Norris City-Omaha-Enfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dongola, they will face off against Cobden at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
