Softball Game Preview: Robinson Bulldogs vs. East Rowan Mustangs

Robinson hasn't had much luck against East Rowan recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. Robinson has given up an average of 13.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Robinson is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 18th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against West Rowan, falling 16-0.

Meanwhile, East Rowan faced West Rowan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mustangs won by a run and slipped past the Falcons 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won six in a row.

Robinson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for East Rowan, their victory bumped their record up to 18-2.

Robinson might still be hurting after the 18-1 loss they got from East Rowan in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
