Preview: Bear Lake Lakers vs. Engadine Eagles
Bear Lake is 1-0 against Engadine since October of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Bear Lake Lakers will head out on the road to face off against the Engadine Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Bear Lake is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Thursday, Bear Lake was the victim of a rough 32-6 loss at the hands of Catholic Central.
Meanwhile, Engadine had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They breezed by Superior Central on the road to the tune of 36-0. The result was nothing new for Engadine, who have now won four games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Hayden Oneil and Hunter Cameron were among the main playmakers for Engadine as the former rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown and the latter picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Engadine's victory bumped their season record to 5-3 while Bear Lake's defeat dropped theirs to 1-7.
Bear Lake beat Engadine 40-30 in their previous matchup back in October of 2021. Does Bear Lake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Engadine turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
