Basketball Recap: Bryan Comes Up Short

Bryan played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Millard West Wildcats, falling 77-45. The Bears were down 59-34 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Bryan still got an impressive performance from Jayden Joseph, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Hopson, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Leading Millard West to victory were Cade Walker and Jacob Morrison. Walker went 9-for-12 to rack up 21 points and eight boards, while Morrison shot 83% from the field en route to 12 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Walker has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 20 points, but 5-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Vincent Long, who had nine points and five assists.

Bryan's record is now 0-20. As for Millard West, they moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bryan will host Millard South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 55 points in their last 11 games. As for Millard West, they will square off against Omaha South at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are facing the Packers at the right time seeing as the Packers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
