Basketball Recap: Oakwood Academy Takes a Loss

Oakwood Academy lost against Berean Christian Academy two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warhawks were outmatched by the Lions and fell 88-51. The Warhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-24.

Despite the loss, Oakwood Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Seth McAlister shot 75% from the field to rack up 20 points. Another player making a difference was Braeden Raeper, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Oakwood Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Berean Christian Academy, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Oakwood Academy has already played their next contest (against Lebanon HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Berean Christian Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Maranatha Baptist Academy at 1:00 p.m. on the 19th.
