Basketball Recap: Kennewick Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kennewick played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 61-36 to the Deer Park Stags. The Lions were down 47-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

When it comes to explaining why Kennewick lost, don't look at Rylee Bendewald. Despite the final result, she went 6-for-13 to rack up 14 points and six rebounds.

Deer Park got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacey Boesel out in front who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards. Berlyn Zimmerer was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Kennewick and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Deer Park, their record now sits at 2-0.

Coming up, Kennewick will venture away from home to face off against Southridge at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Deer Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coeur d'Alene at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Stags' defense better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 61 points per game this season.
