Soccer Recap: Blue Ridge Takes a Loss

Blue Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Daniel Lions, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Daniel this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on April 4th.

Blue Ridge was without their leading scorer, Samuel Perez Espinoza, in Tuesday's matchup. With Perez Espinoza sidelined, Jacob Blanton got his first action of the season.

Blue Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Daniel, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Blue Ridge will head out to square off against Berea at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Daniel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greer at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Daniel will need to watch out since Greer have now posted at least four goals in their last five games.
