Basketball Recap: LaPoynor Takes a Loss

LaPoynor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 60-42 fall against the Peaster Greyhounds. The matchup marked the Flyers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

LaPoynor's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Peaster, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

LaPoynor and Peaster should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. LaPoynor (ranked 294th) will meet Fruitvale (ranked 964th) at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Peaster will square off against Tolar at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025 up 593 places (544 vs. 1137).
