Softball Recap: Hampton Takes a Loss

Hampton was the 14-7 winner over Chuckey-Doak when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 5-2 to the Black Knights on Tuesday. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Malory Lamb made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Chuckey-Doak, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-12 record.

Hampton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-2 win against Johnson County on the 17th. As for Chuckey-Doak, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-8 defeat against North Greene on the 18th.
