Baseball Recap: Scott Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bay Springs last Thursday, Scott Central came back down to earth. The Rebels came up short against the Lake Hornets on Friday, falling 16-2. The loss continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost six in a row.

Scott Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was C Crimm, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Another was C Burks, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Scott Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-4.

Scott Central has already played their next matchup, a 10-6 loss against Raleigh on the 5th. As for Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-4 victory against Union on the 5th.
