Baseball Recap: Kewanee Boilermakers vs. Galesburg Silver Streaks
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Farmington, Kewanee was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Galesburg Silver Streaks by a score of 15-11. The victory was some much needed relief for the Boilermakers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Colson Welgat was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
