Football Game Preview: McKeesport Tigers vs. Thomas Jefferson Jaguars + How To Watch

The McKeesport Tigers will face off against the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as McKeesport comes in on six and Thomas Jefferson on four.

McKeesport is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Chartiers Valley: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Tigers blew the Colts out of the water with a 44-7 final score. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Thomas Jefferson rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down the Fightin' Planets 31-14.

Thomas Jefferson's win came from a few key players McKeesport will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kane Eggerton, who picked up 124 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 124 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Eber, who rushed for 126 yards and one score.

Thomas Jefferson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Eggerton picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

McKeesport's record now sits at 8-3. As for Thomas Jefferson, their record is now 9-2.

McKeesport came up short against Thomas Jefferson in their previous meeting back in September, falling 16-7. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
