Volleyball Game Preview: Santa Ana Valley Falcons vs. Santiago Cavaliers

The Santa Ana Valley Falcons will take on the Santiago Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Santa Ana Valley has now lost 16 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 27th.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Santa Ana Valley and Orange, and Orange kept the tradition alive. The Falcons fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Santiago kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of Godinez Fundamental by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Grizzlies: they've now lost four in a row.

Santa Ana Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Santiago, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Santa Ana Valley couldn't quite get it done against Santiago when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
