Baseball Recap: Nacogdoches Comes Up Short

Nacogdoches fell victim to Texas and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Dragons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

This is the second loss in a row for Nacogdoches and nudges their season record down to 7-11. As for Texas, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Nacogdoches is set to take on their familiar foe Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Texas will face off against rival Tyler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
