Football Recap: Bethel Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Bonney Lake last Friday, Bethel came back down to earth. The Bison were outmatched by the Sumner Spartans and fell 49-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bison were not able to get on the board.

Lance McGee produced another solid performance rushing for 171 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries for Sumner. McGee is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Pope, who picked up 63 receiving yards and one TD.

Bethel has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Sumner, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Bethel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sumner, they will host Eastmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
