Volleyball Recap: Greenfield Extends Winning Streak to Three

Greenfield had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Lockwood Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Tigers last Saturday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Greenfield took Lockwood into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 17-25, 18-25, 15-10.

Kayleigh Back paced Greenfield's offense, picking up 16 kills. Back got some help from Drew Miller and her 36 assists. Back was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Greenfield's win bumped their record up to 15-9-3. As for Lockwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-12-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Greenfield and Lockwood will both be playing Everton the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Tigers on Saturday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
