Football Recap: Linden Skates Past Holly with Ease

Linden won the last time they faced Holly and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles breezed past the Bronchos to the tune of 42-6. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linden to victory, but perhaps none more so than Max Widner, who threw for 251 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes. A healthy portion of Widner's aerial production (149 yards to be exact) went to Noah Thomas, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Linden proved: they limited Holly to a paltry 3.4 yards per carry. The Eagles' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.

The victory keeps Linden at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 44.3 points this season. As for Holly, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linden will host Flushing at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holly, they will be playing at home against Fenton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
