Volleyball Recap: Birchwood Takes a Loss

Birchwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Flambeau Falcons, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on September 4th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-21, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Birchwood lost, don't look at Alyssa Holt. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs. Holt is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Birchwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Flambeau, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Birchwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Lake Holcombe on the 2nd. As for Flambeau, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Bruce on the 2nd.
