Baseball Recap: Gilroy Victorious

Gilroy had won three straight at home, but on Wednesday they bumped their record up to 12-15 to make it four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hill Falcons, sneaking past 7-5. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Cameron Hilton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Gilroy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 9-14 otherwise. Sean Avey was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

As for Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since March 24th.

On Hill's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Francisco Montalvo, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

As of now, neither Gilroy nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
