The Burlington School is hoping to do what LEAD Academy couldn't on Friday: put an end to Cardinal Gibbons' winning streak, which now stands at five games. Cardinal Gibbons came out on top against LEAD Academy by a score of 73-60.

Cash McSweeney continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 12 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 18 games he's played dating back to last season. Griffin Cockerham was another key player, putting up seven points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, The Burlington School beat T.W. Andrews 64-58 on Friday. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Red Raiders are ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cardinal Gibbons' record now sits at 7-3. As for The Burlington School, their record now sits at 10-6.
