Softball Recap: Eunice Comes Up Short

Eunice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-2 to the Jal Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-3 defeat last Tuesday.

Eunice saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lizy Gaytan, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Eunice's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Jal, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 14-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eunice beat the Panthers by a score of 12-11 later that day.
