They blew past the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles, posting a 69-28 win. Pinewood Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Grayson Salego out in front who rushed for 125 yards and four scores on only 14 carries. Another signal caller making a difference was Silas Brawner, who threw for 268 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Pinewood Prep proved: they limited Hilton Head Christian Academy to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pinewood Prep will venture away from home to face off against Wilson Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Barons' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
