Preview: Overbrook Rams vs. Penns Grove Red Devils
After three games on the road, Overbrook is heading back home. They will take on the Penns Grove Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Overbrook earned a 58-51 win over the Bulldogs.
Meanwhile, Penns Grove came into Tuesday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 47-42 W over Woodstown on Tuesday. The win was just what Penns Grove needed coming off of a 96-52 defeat in their prior matchup.
Penns Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Giomar Conrad, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mekhi Ballard, who scored 12 points.
Overbrook has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Penns Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
