Ravenscroft won the last time they faced Durham Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Ravenscroft Ravens slipped by the Durham Academy Cavaliers 73-72. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ravens.

Despite the loss, Durham Academy still got an impressive performance from Joshua Dorsette II, who went 5 for 9 en route to 18 points and three steals. That's the most points Dorsette II has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was JJ Wilcox, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and seven boards.

Ravenscroft has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Durham Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8.

Ravenscroft and Grace Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Grace Christian will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Ravenscroft surely won't give up without a fight. As for Durham Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cary Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Durham Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Cary Academy likes a good challenge.
