Volleyball Recap: Lexington Falls Despite Big Games from Macy Davis and Katelyn Sullivan

Lexington lost against Mars Hill Bible back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Golden Bears took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lexington was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mars Hill Bible work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-24.

Lexington's loss came despite strong showings from Katelyn Sullivan and Macy Davis. Sullivan had 16 assists and three digs, while Davis had six digs and one assist.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 20-24. As for Mars Hill Bible, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Lexington will square off against Elkmont on Tuesday. As for Mars Hill Bible, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Wilson on the 4th.
