Softball Recap: St. Helens Lions vs. Scappoose Indians

St. Helens faced Scappoose in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Lions walked away with a 5-2 win over the Indians. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Eme Curaming spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Addy Ellis was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Maddy Lahey was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
