            Softball Preview: Beecher Bobcats vs. Marengo Indians        
        
		
        
        
            The Beecher Bobcats will take on the Marengo Indians at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Beecher's pitching crew heads into the  game  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Thursday. Everything went their way against Grant Park as they made off with  a  10-0 win. The Bobcats'  victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
Grant Park's batters probably weren't too happy with  Taylor Norkus, who pitched a no hitter  and racked up 13 Ks (she gave up zero walks). Norkus has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Ava Olson was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Elena Kvasnicka, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Beecher was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grant Park only posted a  batting average of  .000.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Marengo). They blew past Wauconda 18-5 on Friday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 Beecher's victory was  their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Marengo, they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
