Volleyball Recap: Sycamore Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Sycamore was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Badin last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aviators came up short against the Milford Eagles on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aviators of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2021.

Sycamore was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Milford work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 25-20.

Sadie Ellis paced Sycamore's offense, picking up seven kills. Ellis got some help from Caroline Shomo and her 11 assists. Finally, Kennedy Mallory and Lola Darbyshire kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked four attacks.

Sycamore's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-10. As for Milford, they pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Sycamore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Milford, they will take on Centerville in a tournament on Saturday.
