Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Canby's 15th in Last 16 Outings

With a playoff win on the line, Canby rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Central Panthers by a score of 1-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Not much got past Alli Hayzlett, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Central off the board. Hayzlett has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 21 consecutive appearances.

Canby has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

As of now, neither Canby nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
