Preview: Ocean View Seahawks vs. Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles
The Ocean View Seahawks's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th. Desert Hot Springs took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ocean View, who comes in off a win.
Ocean View has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 33 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Avalon 72-31 on the road. The victory was just what Ocean View needed coming off of a 69-30 loss in their prior contest.
Brayden Ackerman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Girotti, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Desert Hot Springs' good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They suffered a rough 58-37 loss at the hands of Desert Christian Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Desert Hot Springs has scored all season.
Ocean View's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Desert Hot Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
