Basketball Game Preview: Linsly Cadets vs. Parkersburg South Patriots

The Linsly Cadets will take on the Parkersburg South Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Linsly is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Linsly came up short against Archbishop Alter and fell 63-52. While the Cadets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 15-8 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Parkersburg South hadn't done well against Dover recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Parkersburg South skirted past Dover 50-47. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 14th in West Virginia, while the Crimson Tornadoes are ranked 213th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Linsly's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Parkersburg South, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
