Baseball Game Preview: Archbishop Mitty Monarchs vs. Valley Christian Warriors

The Archbishop Mitty Monarchs will be taking part in a tournament against the Valley Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Archbishop Mitty's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Valley Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Archbishop Mitty picked up another tournament win on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Palo Alto as Archbishop Mitty made off with a 9-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Monarchs.

Meanwhile, Valley Christian put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged out Wilcox 2-0.

Kole Laubach tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Colton Hadfield, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Archbishop Mitty's record now sits at 3-1. As for Valley Christian, their record now sits at 4-0.
