Softball Game Preview: Porter Spartans vs. King Panthers

The Porter Spartans will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the King Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Porter saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spring. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when King took on Silsbee on Saturday. The Panthers lost 12-3 to the Tigers.

King saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayreus Dejean, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. A'Laeha Hayes also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Porter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for King, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
