Basketball Recap: Elite Prep Academy Drops Season-High Score on Orlando Science

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elite Prep Academy). They really took it to the Orlando Science Orcas for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-39 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Elite Prep Academy was led to victory by Kirk Duhaney and Jahmani Salomon. Duhaney dropped a double-double on 33 points and ten rebounds, while Salomon dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Duhaney is now averaging an impressive 2.2 blocks per game. Dereck Lopez was another key player, putting up four points.

Elite Prep Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Orlando Science, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.

Elite Prep Academy will head out to face off against Conrad Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Conrad Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Orlando Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
