There's no place like home for Hickory, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past the Great Bridge Wildcats 3-2. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Hickory's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Great Bridge, they moved to 13-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak.
