After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wolcott, Waterbury Career Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Kennedy Eagles as the Waterbury Career Academy Spartans made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in September.

Waterbury Career Academy never let Kennedy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-11.

Among those leading the charge was Tiffany Rodriguez, who had 11 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.

Waterbury Career Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. As for Kennedy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
